How to become a billionaire like Vasil Bojkov

There are loads of articles on how to become a millionaire, but maybe it’s time we all dreamed a little bigger, because really, if you’re going to take the time to become a millionaire you may as well aim higher whilst you’re at it and go for billionaire!

One good story to learn from is about a man from Bulgaria called Vasil Bojkov. Bojkov may have come from humble beginnings, but he didn’t let that stop him from becoming the richest person in Bulgaria ond one of the wealthiest people in Eastern Europe. Here is the story of how he became a billionaire, so perhaps, by reading this article you can learn how he achieved it and become one too?

Bojkov was born in 1956 in the picturesque village of Velingrad, Bulgaria. He started his scholastic career by studying mathematics and he graduated from the National High School of Mathematics in Sofia with flying colours. After this success he was inspired to study even harder and went on to obtain MS degrees in Mathematics and Economics from the St. Kliment Ohridski Sofia University and the University of National and World Economy, Sofia, as well as History of Art from University of Buenos Aires.

All his hard work was worth all the effort, because it gave him a solid grounding that he needed in the business world he was about to enter. In 1991 Bojkov registered his first company – SLV, which expanded and ultimately became Nove Holding, which today comprises of over over 30 companies.

When SLV started out, the main focus of business was in the areas of tourism, sports, insurance, and gambling, Bojkov had found his calling and the business flourished. From there he went on to run the Bulgarian National Lottery, Euro Football, Efbet, Euro Bet and built on his successful casino by opening a chain of them across the country which are all now thriving. The business also naturally developed from its roots in tourism and soon grew to a chain of hotels in Bulgaria and South America.

His business aspirations did not stop there though. Bojkov saw an opportunity to branch out and purchase a shipyard in Africa, his keen eye for a prudent investment also led him to purchase an energy plant in South Africa. He also had the insight to invest in a technology company at the perfect time. His high tech business developed incredibly sophisticated apps for Porsche and also specialised in apps for tourism security, this was of course a natural area for his high tech business to take the lead on as his apps help security issues within his casinos and hotels. Tourism security is an very important and vital part of both security management and tourism. Private security professionals and police departments in cities that enjoy tourists, as well as hotels, casinos, major attractions, and theme parks, have all come to realize that tourism security and safety issues (often called tourism surety) are essential for industry survival and success.

So ultimately, the right education, being in the right place at the right time and a keen eye for the right areas to invest in were crucial ingredients in the making of Vasil Bojkov, the billionaire we know today. He worked hard to achieve the success he has today, so before you go start out on your own path to become a billionaire, be prepared to invest in yourself, and be prepared to dive in with your sleeves rolled up, because you are going to have a lot of work to climb the ladder of success.
